Everyone Receives Divine Communication – Part 1

Open up to your own Divine Communication

This post is about opening up to the truth of your own Divine communication by increasing your awareness of ways you receive this information, and then to continue strengthening that two-way, multi-dimensional conversation into the blessed partnership it truly is. Let me be clear—you do receive this communication, always. However, unless you are aware of that dialogue with your Source (or Holy Spirit, Angels, or Spiritual Mentors {all are connected and are from the same Source}) or unless you trust in the messages you receive, then you’re not experiencing the amazing quality of life available to you. The reason is because you’re not using the most powerful tool freely provided for you by your Creator—which is Divine communication, your direct source to Pure Intelligence.

How you receive the messages

You receive Divine messages in infinite ways from the Infinite. I’ve received them since I was a child. However, when younger I was afraid of them and never told anyone.

I now know, without doubt, that Divine communication is not paranormal – it’s normal! A natural component within our spiritual DNA. Part of the creation package.

As a result, I now know, without doubt, that EVERYONE is already connected. The problem is that many people don’t realize it exists, or they rationalize it away, or are afraid of it, but Divine communication is meant for everyone to access—it is a powerful gift to us from the “One.” Divine communication is not to fear, but to embrace. What is there to fear from the One that is only love, joy and goodness?

What are your four basic forms of Guidance?

According to Doreen Virtue in her book,
Divine Guidance: How to Have a Dialogue with God and Your Guardian Angels, verified by my own personal experiences and messages, there are four basic means of communication:

  1. Clairaudience (clear hearing);
  2. Clairsentience (clear sensing);
  3. Claircognizance (clear knowing); and
  4. Clairvoyance (clear seeing). Plus I’ve added a fifth,
  5. Divine Intervention (I added this category).

By the way, you might receive messages in one, or all four methods. It doesn’t matter, as long as you receive them and recognize them for what they are – messages from the Divine specifically for you.

For me, sometimes the messages are absolutely clear the instant I receive them. Sometimes the meaning comes to me while I’m writing the messages down. Sometimes I receive them during quiet times, and sometimes in the middle of a busy, noisy day. Some come as answers to questions, and the answers are often the opposite of what I assumed. Some are unexpected and take me by surprise.

1. Clairaudience (clear hearing):

Sounds, voices and words. Have you ever heard sounds, voices and words but weren’t sure? The voice might even call you by name. This method of communication can be worrisome because you might fear someone out there in the world will tell you that if you hear voices, you’re crazy. I could say they are crazy because they don’t listen to the All Knowing wisdom that has all the answers.  But really its their own fear or ignorance speaking up.

For me, the verbal answers come through with the term ‘you’. For example,

  • “Why are you wasting your time when there is so much more available to you?”
  • “What do you want for your life?”
  • “I love you. Do you trust me?”

Sometimes there is a back-and-forth dialogue that is part of those messages where I ask, then argue, then listen, then admit the message doesn’t make sense to me, then continue asking and listening until I comprehend. Asking and questioning are vital components of the discussion. That means you are admitting what you don’t yet understand which allows the Divine to continue clarifying until you get it.

During my life I kept questioning the reality of the voices. One time I admitted my insecurity about it to Jesus. I heard him laugh then say, ‘Listen, Carolyne with an e…” because that is how my name is spelled. I realized I would never call myself that, and I finally started paying attention, with delightful results. We’ll discuss later how you can tell that the voice is authentic.

2. Clairsentience (Clear Sensing):

Feelings and hunches, emotions, physical sensations, smells. If you experienced any of those, and I’m sure you have, that’s Divine communication.

3. Claircognizance (clear knowing):

Thoughts, ideas, sparks of inspiration and inner certainty—like ‘knowing’ in which you receive information from Universal Intelligence. Have you ever just ‘known’? Received an idea or inspiration? That’s Divine communication.

4. Clairvoyance (Clear seeing):

Visions, images and mental pictures. They might be like a mental movie, or a snapshot of pictures inside or outside of your mind. They might be black and white, or color. Mine are always in extra vivid colors. The mental pictures can be literal or symbolic, and they can also come during dreams.

5. Divine Intervention:

I’d like to add a fifth method to the traditional four—Divine intervention. We’ve all experienced this. When something unexpected happens in our lives that we would never have purposely chosen, but when we get through the shift to the other side when things settle, we’re grateful it happened. Something better came out of it all. God knows best.

Once you start opening up to Divine communication, you’ll discover there is a lot of symbolism in your meditations, dreams and visions such as in animals, flowers and colors. Look up the symbolic descriptions and determine what feels right to you.
