SATAN is your FEAR – not a being, but an attitude

SATAN IS YOUR FEAR – not a being, but an attitude

This Truth is powerful. This Truth is freeing and will help you reclaim your life.

But why and how?

The following is an excerpt from the book “Divine Messages from Jesus” by Carolyne Cathey where Jesus explains why the only Satan is our fear.

Note that Satan and fear are the same, with the same consequences.

  • Satan (FEAR) is negative control.
  • Satan (FEAR) is a hindrance for reaching your goals.
  • Satan (FEAR) tempts you to go against your heart and all that you are.
  • Satan (FEAR) makes you feel alone, separate, powerless.

In fact,” Jesus added in the message, “fear has controlled much of your life.”

Then he asked:

* How many important life-changing decisions have you made out of fear?

* How many times have you allowed fear to control or overwhelm you?

* How many times did believing you weren’t good enough or smart enough or brave enough hold you back and affect your life-path choices?

* How many times have you opted for the safe decision, not the one where your heart longed to go?

Jesus said:

“Fear controls every one of those decisions—your Satan—not a being, but an attitude.”

“Satan—not a being, but an attitude.”

Powerful! Freeing!

Satan is not anything to fear from outside of you, but instead, is the fear from inside of you. That means you can have control over your own fear. You are not impotent. You are not a victim. With God’s guidance, you are in control.

For a victorious plan of action ask for Divine help when shifting your attitude from fear to faith, that incredible can-do attitude that transform tragedies into triumph. Refusing to allow fear to affect your decisions results in making positive, healing, helpful choices. Ask for help to do this. We are meant to live our lives through constant communication with God, Jesus, or whatever you call your Higher Power. So, use that power.

I realize this goes against most of our religious teaching, but think about it. As mentioned above, when you insert the word fear in the place of Satan, you get the same meaning.

“Satan—not a being, but an attitude.”

PART 2- fear is also your opportunity.

Do you limit yourself? If so why?

“There is only one thing in this universe that can surround you with limitation, and that is accepting the outer appearance instead of the mighty, active presence of God in you.”
The I AM Discourses, v 3 p 7

Divine Message: Unconditional Love and Non-judgment? But what about…?

If you have been following me, you are aware that Jesus called me to serve with him as part of a spiritual team. FYI, he is eager to co-partner with anyone who says “Use me.” Jesus is now my Spiritual Mentor/Guide and I’m blessed to receive Divine messages that are meant for everyone in order to help us all with our daily lives.

The following is one of my favorite messages I received when asking him how we can even consider loving our enemies!

IN SEVERAL MEDITATIONS, I received visions about the interconnecting web, stressing the importance for us to understand that we are all connected to everything else.

Then one time Jesus said what I thought is surely impossible.

“The greatest action you can send along this web is unconditional love and non-judgment.”

What? Unconditional love? Non-judgment? I didn’t understand how to do that, and I told him so. (Never be afraid to question; that merely means you don’t yet understand.) I admitted that I really didn’t even know what unconditional love and non-judgment meant. I mean, it would be easy, afterward, in spirit form, but as a human being living with other humans who don’t think alike or have the same value systems, I confessed I’m just not that good.

During the meditation, I continued to express my dilemma to Jesus:

“As a human being living on this earth, how can I express unconditional love and non-judgment to everyone everywhere all the time? That’s just not realistic,” I argued.

I sought to prove my assertion with opinions of how such a task is unattainable, getting more agitated and feeling more inadequate with each example:

“How can I love unconditionally people who are mean and hateful? When I see people slaughtering others because they disagree, perpetrators who claim they will not stop until we all believe as they do, I’m hurt. I’m angered. I don’t want to love those who seek our destruction. I’ll never be that perfect. Or people who kidnap children and abuse them, those who enjoy torturing people and animals, and—and politics!” I mentally shouted. “How can I love people who—”

“Start, with yourself” his voice whispered into my tirade,

I gasped. “Love myself? Without judgment?” Is that even possible?

I mulled about what he said. I thought of how many mistakes I had made and continue to make in life, and how I had unwittingly hurt people’s feelings, and that I was so far from perfect. Could I really love myself unconditionally, without judgment? To be honest, I wasn’t sure I could, but after thinking about what he said, I finally decided that with concentration and determination and some self-forgiveness, I could learn to love myself unconditionally and without judgment. That when I procrastinate, or unintentionally hurt someone, or let someone down, or don’t listen to the Divine as I should, I could love myself anyway.

Then immediately the vision in the meditation shifted.

I was in a dark void like in space, and I saw a sheer red silk fabric rippling in a growing and spreading circle away from my waist area and into the blackness—silk, like love, fragile, and yet, like love, surpassing the tensile strength of steel. As it spread, the fabric of love merged with other red silks rippling out from other beings—I knew they were people, but they appeared as sources, individual sources of love, their red silk fabrics rippling outward, melding, becoming one, then there were so many sources, unifying, filling in the void until the sea of love almost covered as far as I could see, shimmering with light, spreading further, reaching into deepest space . . . .

“We are all one,” he said. “If you first love yourself, that love changes the vibration of the interconnecting web from where you are and ripples outward into the universe. Love yourself, unconditionally. Be compassion. Then you can love your neighbor—as you love yourself. And in so doing, you change the world.”

Meaning: The meaning is clear. First, love yourself. The trick is in actually taking the time and the determination to follow through, and yet I’m sure you understand that it is vital to your happiness. Whatever you are feeling about yourself and others is all swirling around inside of you. What do you want swirling around inside of you? Love? Or hate? God-confidence? Or insecurities? Faith? Or fear? The answers seem obvious, but it is in convincing yourself of those qualities that can be the challenge.

To love unconditionally means to love anyway. That means you don’t set conditions on whether or not you love yourself and others. You embody the same kind of unconditional love you first receive from the Divine.

Again, that is not the same as condoning. Condoning behavior that is ‘not loving’ contributes to the problem. Condoning is a form of enabling. Loving yourself and others means saying ‘no!’ when behavior is damaging, unloving, or hateful. The challenge is to do so without judgment, as you are loved.

That is when you follow Jesus’ teachings and start with yourself, always asking for Divine help to accomplish what is impossible on your own. All is possible with God.

Action Item:

Your thoughts, words and actions reflect how you feel about yourself. If you don’t love yourself unconditionally and without judgment, I suggest you make out two lists:

  1. What do you love about yourself, and why. How does that make you feel?
  2. What it is about yourself that you don’t love, and why? Then write suggestions of how you might change those negatives into positives. Any time you think of another reason, add it to the list, with an action to take to shift it from the negative to the positive.

In working on your blockages, always ask for Divine help, knowing, without doubt, you will receive that help. This exercise will change you and your life and how others and the world respond to you. Do not allow fear or guilt to talk you out of completing this mission. Have faith and trust.

I’m excited and honored to serve as a speaker on Zoom for Mendocino Center for Spiritual Living (MCSL), April 26th, 11 a.m. PDT, on Zoom.

Celebrating Our Miraculous Magnificence

April 26, 11 am, PDT, Carolyne Cathey joins MCSL on Zoom to share about celebrating the miraculous magnificence within us and all around us. Miracles and magnificence we often take for granted. Together let’s celebrate the joy of being alive!

I loved my 16 years in Mendocino/Fort Bragg/Westport CA. before moving to Sedona, AZ, much of that because of the dear friendships I made there while as Executive Director of Mendocino Area Parks Association, and especially as a speaker, workshop host, class facilitator, board member and Spiritual Leadership council at the Mendocino Center for Spiritual Living. Reverend Tanya Wyldflower is an admirable and inspiring leader of the center. The many friends at the church are dear to my heart. They are truly special. I look forward to connecting with them again.

Thank you, Reverend Wyldflower for the invitation.

Divine Message from Jesus: “My life & messages serve as examples…”

The following quote is a message I received from Jesus about Easter.

“Easter isn’t about the messenger, it’s about the message. I didn’t create the Truth that I willingly gave my physical life to share with the world. I merely illuminated what was always and is forever true— the eternal truth for everyone—because if what I embodied and lived was for only one person, what was the point? My life and messages serve as examples of what everyone can be—what you can be, and are. It doesn’t matter who gets the credit because only one truly receives the credit—the Originator, the Creator, the Infinite, God.”

Does the Book of Revelation Mesh with Jesus’ Teachings?

Warning: My beliefs as guided by Jesus my Spiritual Mentor might be considered by some as heretical. This is where courage and faith comes in, when what the Divine communicates is the opposite of what many others believe as truth.

What is my reaction to the Book of Revelation claim that Jesus will come again on a horse, in battle, with vengeance, destroying and slaughtering?

I believe Jesus has already come again within each of our hearts. That heart-dwelling presence is so much more powerful than Jesus returning as a separate being ready to do battle. He has so much more influence when he works through each one of us. It’s Jesus multiplied! Of course, because of free will, we must give permission for Jesus to serve through us. But once we do, WOW!

According to Jesus through Divine messages to me, the Book of Revelation that claims Jesus will come again and in such horrific wrath is the opposite of what he taught us. The Revelation writing style is copied from the apocalyptic books that were written before Jesus was born.

At the time of Jesus’ birth, the Jewish people hoped the Messiah would come as an avenging angel bringing rebellion and death to their Roman enemies. Instead Jesus came as love, teaching that God is love not hate, forgiveness not revenge. Even his disciples struggled with this opposite shift to what they had been taught. The Book of Revelation returns to the old Jewish thinking, which is a misleading interpretation of Jesus’ true revelation.

I understand and sympathize with why this book was written – to give the persecuted Christians hope during the most brutal time in Christian history when they were being thrown to the lions and tortured in horrendous ways. The writings encouraged people to stay strong, that something better was coming for them – a true message for everyone for all time. The message that no matter what, “JESUS WINS!” Which means, we win.

What did Jesus really teach?

Simplified, Jesus taught us not only that we are love, but that our only and true power is within, with God, Jesus… not from outside of us. To share a Jesus quote he gave to me with the intent for me to share…

“You are One with the Source, and the Source is your unlimited supplier, not a human, which means you are to turn to the Source for all things.” Jesus. “Divine Messages from Jesus for a magnificent life. 2015. Cathey, Carolyne

That doesn’t mean good doesn’t come through others, it does, but we are to remember that their source is also God.

What does that good news mean for us?

  • It means we are empowered. Our God-connection, which is our 24/7 continual interaction with the Greatest Power in the Universe, is wiser and stronger than anyone or anything outside of us.
  • It means freedom. Do you realize how incredible that is? It means no one outside of us takes away our freedom to choose unless we allow it. It means that our wisdom and guidance as to what is best for us and our life is always within us. We don’t have to climb a mountain in a distant land to seek wisdom. We carry it around within us all the time. But first we must recognize it, accept it, and work with our Spiritual Partners such as Jesus, Guardian Angels., etc. Each of us is blessed with a spiritual team that is eager and willing to work with us for our most magnificent life.

What is the truth of that good news?

We don’t have to wait for Jesus to come again. He is already here. Right now. In your heart. Do you feel him? Hear him? He’s there whether or not you realize it. He’s eager to serve as your teammate. If you haven’t already done so…

Ask Jesus to be your co-partner. Then trust.

Sequester is Opportunity! Turning fear into faith.

Challenges are really opportunities!

Sometimes we focus on what we can no longer do, even on a short-term basis. We become sad, angry, frustrated, claustrophobic, fearful, perhaps wondering how we will pay the bills, about our job, feeding ourselves and family. It’s easy to get caught in the fear-trap. Once caught, fear takes over, controlling our thoughts and our actions, making our lives a type of fear-hell.

But sometimes a forced slowing down of our lives is also a benefit. We can breathe more easily without the constant pressure to perform. We can reconnect with those who matter most to us. If at home, this time is precious with loved ones. If at a distance, by phone, messenger, portal, facetime, so many wonderful techno methods for our convenience.

The truth is, our worrying about the sequester won’t make it end any faster. You might as well relax and use the opportunity to start a new hobby, learn something you might not have taken time to do before. You know what matters to you, what you’d love to do if you only had time. Now you do. You can even plan what you’ll do to celebrate when this is over, like a luncheon party at your home, or a special dinner for special friends.

Do you have a long-buried dream you’ve ignored for years? This is the ideal opportunity to unearth that dream and explore it’s possibilities. Our dreams are God-seeds planted within us, seeds to nurture and grow. Too often, life gets too busy and in the way, so we bury those precious dreams. Take advantage of this forced isolation and dust that dream off; take a good look at its possibilities to see how you might turn that dream into a goal, into reality.

The best opportunity of all?? To enjoy ‘just being’. Realize you are a miracle, right here, right now. Each moment is a gift. Treasure this time. Too soon the crazy pace begins again. Enjoy being the miracle you are by relaxing into this truth – You are a God-Creation. God is your Unlimited Supplier. All, with God, is perfect. In Jesus’ terminology, perfect doesn’t mean without flaw. It means to be adequate for the task

The Divine is the strongest power in the Universe. That power is within you. Take this opportunity to turn your FEAR into FAITH.

God blesses you now and always!
