Divine Message: Focus on Jesus, Not on the World.

Like you, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the need in the world and how to make a meaningful impact. This post is what Jesus said we are to do.

This post is about a vision on FOCUS I had from Jesus when meditating. As usual, the vision came in a flash, all at once. The challenge is in pulling the vision into a linear thread for human understanding.

Excerpt from “Divine Messages from Jesus for a magnificent life“. p. 75-76. 2015. Cathey, Carolyne.

Vision: FOCUS ON JESUS, NOT ON THE WORLD

Like you, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the need in the world and how to make a meaningful impact. I might make little bits of differences here and there as I pass through life, but they seem minor and relatively insignificant in the grander scale of – the world! Does any of it really matter? What can I do to make a difference when the problems are so vast?

One day when meditating, Jesus said…

“Come with me.”

I soared with Him over valleys, then up, away from the world and into space. Jesus stopped, but stayed close in front of me. I stared down and to my left at the blue-marble world floating in the star-strewn galaxy. He placed his hand on my cheek and turned my face toward his. As soon as he let go, my attention went from him to the world. He gently placed his hand on my face again, turning it back to him. When he moved his hand away, my head turned back to the blue planet. A third time, and with gentle patience, he placed his hand on my cheek and turned my attention to him, catching me with his brilliant blue gaze.

“Focus on Me.” He said. “Let Me take care of the world. Are you big enough to take care of it?”

“Absolutely not!” I said.

“Then focus on Me. I am big enough. Let me take care of the World – through you.”

Meaning: What this message means is that, with your permission, you are the arms, the legs, the eyes, ears and voice – the being through which the One Power for Good flows into the world – from right where you are. You are given a passion, a purpose, a talent that affects the world in a way unique to you. It’s you, doing your part, which then melds with others as one powerful whole. And in this, you change the world.

Action: Ask Jesus, “Use me!”

Receiving and Giving Are One Cord – A Divine Message

This is a Divine message I received on why we can’t give without receiving, and that whatever we give we first receive from God, Our Source.

Receiving and Giving are One Cord

HAVE YOU HEARD the saying that it is easier to give than receive? That saying described me. For some reason I loved giving but I had a hard time receiving. People would offer to give to me in return but I would decline. I would notice the hurt in their eyes, which made me feel guilty, and yet I felt guilty in accepting.

I wondered why it seems easier to give than receive? Pride? Ego? An “I don’t want to be a burden,” attitude? An “I can do it myself” attitude? I felt less somehow when a person would offer to help, like I was lacking something that someone else had to fill in because I was inadequate or flawed. As a result, I was unintentionally rude when I would turn down someone’s offer to help or to give me something. I didn’t mean to be rude. I meant not to be a burden or bother, or dependent. Or even more, that I didn’t need anyone’s help (can you hear the ego in that statement?) With my refusal I could see the disappointment in someone’s eyes or demeanor that showed I had rejected the generosity from their heart.

Jesus kept assuring me that giving and receiving are the same, but I couldn’t see it. To me, giving indicated strength, receiving revealed weakness.

One day, he flashed a vision into my mind that is best demonstrated by acting it out.

Exercise

To act out the vision, stand up to demonstrate this truth.

Imagine a thick nylon cord or rope threading through your solar plexus, front to back and it slides both ways. Place one hand on the imaginary cord coming out the front of your waist, and one hand on the same imaginary cord threading through you out the back of your waist. When you pull so that the rope goes outward from you, as in giving, notice that it also comes into you from the back, as in receiving. With the invisible cord in your hands, let the cable slide back and forth and you’ll see that no matter which way the cord glides, when you are giving, you are also receiving.

Jesus said:

“Everything you have is from the Divine. Everything. Including the love that fills you, love that is so freely given to you from your Creator. Everything you receive you first receive from the Divine. When others are giving to you, you are receiving what flowed through them from the Divine. So, whether giving or receiving, it is all from your Source, your Unlimited Supplier.

“This image demonstrates that receiving and giving are the same. Your problem is that you allow ego and pride to get in your way, that when you decline a generous offer, you not only hurt the other person, you also hurt yourself. When you refuse to receive, you are blocking the natural flow. You are trying to separate the inseparable.

“Notice that when you slide the cord back and forth, that the giving comes from inside you at the same time that the receiving slips inside you, so you cannot possibly give without also giving to yourself.

“You can name the cord. If you name the cord ‘hate’, then when you give hate, that is what you receive. If you name the cord ‘love’, then when you give love, you receive love in return. Which means that if you want to receive love, then you must give love—in remembrance that you are giving from the love you’ve already received. You are created from love. You are love. Give what you truly are—love.”

Now the vision shifts:

“Imagine that the cord that runs through you also runs through a person in front of you and a person behind you, and the people on the other side of each of them. See the connection?” he said. “For someone to give there must be someone else to receive that gift, and of course, the reverse is true. For someone else to give, then another must receive.

“As with the cord, receiving isn’t always from the same person to whom you give. You will often receive back from unexpected sources.

“Also notice that when you give there is no lack because as you are giving, what you receive slips in continuously, allowing continual giving. That is the natural flow. The natural flow of giving and receiving is always going on —there is no life without it.”

Meaning: This message applies to all of creation—people, animals and the planet. Again, you might ‘receive’ from varying forms. Animals love in return, just like people, and sometimes better than people. Contributing in your own loving way fosters a more loving, healthy community, which benefits you and everyone.

Action:

Today, practice giving and receiving love with a smile and with gratitude.

“Everything you have is from the Divine. Everything. Including the love that fills you, love that is so freely given to you from your Creator. Everything you receive you first receive from the Divine. When others are giving to you, you are receiving what flowed through them from the Divine. So, whether giving or receiving, it is all from your Source, your Unlimited Supplier.” ~ Jesus, Divine Message from Jesus. p. 365. 2015. Cathey, Carolyne.

Divine Messages, Part 7: Divine Communication Summary & Exercises – Final.

SUMMARY & EXERCISES:

Summary:

Divine Communication is for you! For everybody! We’ve allowed others to convince us through fear-tactics that it doesn’t exist, or that we are crazy. That is a lie. It is a freely given gift from God in the form of continual connection with the Unlimited Wisdom to help with everything in our everyday lives. Everything. To be honest, this is, in reality, ‘surrender’, which is nothing to fear, only to embrace. Divine communication is part of our spiritual DNA. Our birthright.

Advice: When you do the following exercises, you might receive the answers so quickly you’ll doubt you heard them. You might think they are merely the figment of your imagination, or your mind playing tricks on you. Don’t question them. Don’t allow your logical mind to reword them or rationalize them away. Write them down in a journal, whether on paper or on your computer exactly as you received them, even if they don’t make sense. You’ll be amazed that as you write them down, you start receiving more understanding. If not, then pray for clarity, but in these exercises, don’t question them.

Methods: Remember, there are infinite ways you receive messages from the infinite, but there are four basics and I’ve added a fifth. Hearing, seeing, sensing, knowing, plus, Divine Intervention. You might receive messages through one method or all four, it doesn’t matter as long as you receive them. You may choose to develop all four. When opening to messages you might receive the entire message at once, like a wisdom-explosion. One of the challenges is to then pull the threads of the message into a linear format and still keep the meaning of the message. Pray for clarity. Once you get working on this you’ll better understand what I’m trying to explain. Don’t worry about any of this, but…

Pray/Meditate: Before you start each exercise, pray for clarity, for understanding, for the release of any fears holding you back from this magnificent experience. Ask for calm, to release fears and doubts, and for you to get your own  self out of the way, allowing a clear conduit for Divine Wisdom to flow into you.

No judgment! Often we are even afraid of trying these exercises because we fear we’ll fail. Don’t worry about failing.  Trust, and have faith. You weren’t born walking, you learned how. Think of Divine Communication in reverse; we are all born with that 24/7 connection, but along the growth path we became confused and misdirected and forgot how. Now is the time to reclaim your birthright.

By the way, I’ve lost count of the number of people who have told me they’ve had intuitive experiences but were afraid to share them with anyone. I know the same is true for you. Be smart. Learn how to open up to Divine Communication and use it! You’ll be so grateful you did!  Remember, you can always share with me.

Exercises:

In doing these exercises the exact results don’t matter at this point because no matter what, you are loved by God, always and forever. Be determined and choose to develop an open dialogue with the Divine and your spirit guides (your Spiritual team) – and feel it. Passion is important. Not wishy-washy but determination that you will no longer deny yourself this miraculous gift to you from God.

Even if you don’t think you’ve received anything, continue to trust. Have faith. This is similar to using a muscle weakened from lack of use. With persistence and practice, that muscle gains strength.

In these exercises you’ll ask questions which will vary according to the focus of the exercise and your desires. Then listen carefully. As I mentioned before, the answers are usually so fast you might doubt you heard or received it. Once you have an answer or even more than one answer, write them down on your notepad or paper. Read them to yourself. As you look at them, ask for clarity and truth, and trust. You might continue to receive additional advice and suggestions. Write those down as well.

Note the thoughts and feelings that went through you. Negative? Positive? What were they? Was the answer fast, or slow? Did it have meaning for you or relate to you in any way? While fresh in your mind, write down which method through which the answer came to you.

REMEMBER: As you receive your answers, try to determine if some came through as an “I” or a “You”. Were they discouraging or encouraging? Do they seem from your heart, or your head?

As I mentioned earlier, I’d love for you to share your experiences in the comment section on this page! I’ve found that in sharing with each other, we all learn more and gain confidence.

Write a positive, believing prayer for yourself for opening and receiving Divine Communication. Read it to yourself at least daily, if not more often. Say it with passion and belief that you have already received it. Read it before you do any of the exercises.

Example:

Thank you, God, for helping me to know that Divine communication is real and is your gift to me to develop and use for everything in my life, knowing that there is no too small or insignificant. Everything is important. I release all fears to you and know, without doubt, that I continually receive Divine wisdom and guidance and blessings and love and support that help lead me to what is most joyous for me and my life. In gratitude, I release this truth into the Pure Intelligence that is God, knowing I am one with and within God and my Spiritual team. I am never alone. I am Divinely empowered.

Exercise 1: Releasing Fear

Close your eyes. Go within. Feel yourself as part of the vast loving Universal Force, totally and completely loved and protected. You are safe. When you feel ready, ask the Divine to help you release any fear and tension by bringing to your mind what fears are holding you back. With a sparkling wand like a fireworks sparkler, mentally write the fear in the black ether of space, see it glitter, then dissolve. Wow. That fear no longer exists for you. You feel freer, more expansive. Ask what other fear is holding you back, then write the word with your sparkler in the black velvet sky, a last bright glitter before it fades into non-existence. If there are any more fears revealed to you, then write them with your miraculous sparkler and watch them disappear.

Expressing gratitude for your Guide, take a deep breath, wiggle your fingers, and slowly open your eyes.

Journal your fears that are now dissolved like sparks fading away into nothing.

Exercise 2: Spirit Guides

While you are there in the loving embrace of the Universal Force, relax, take a deep breath, feel all tensions flow out of you into the earth, and ask for the name of the angel at your right shoulder. If you don’t get it, or aren’t sure, ask again.

Ask for the name of the angel at your left shoulder. Again, if needed, ask for clarity.

Ask for the name of your Spiritual mentor. If no particular name comes through, you can ask for a specific Spiritual mentor with whom you’d love to co-partner, such as Jesus. I love working with him! He is joyful and eager to work with you as is the rest of your spiritual team to help you fulfill your mission and purpose in life, and in doing so, bring you the best life beyond imagination.

Write down any names that come to you, even if they seem more incredible that you ever dared consider. Share with me if you would like.

Exercise 3: Ask personal questions

Think of a question you want to ask.

Meditate: Quiet:

Listen for any answers (usually fast), then trust.

Write down what you receive without rewording it from a logical perspective. For me, the answers are often the opposite of what my logical mind thinks, but then later, make perfect sense. Keep working with them. You’ll probably receive additional information. Wait for more. Ask if there is more. Ask again. And again. Go deeper. More detail. Don’t be afraid to argue, or say that the message doesn’t make sense to you. Questioning merely means you don’t yet understand the message’s meaning. As you keep asking, you’ll finally reach an “Aha! That’s what you are trying to tell me!”

Also note how the messages came to you. Were they visual images in your mind? Like a voice? A flash in your mind? You just knew it? Were they one method or more than one?

Exercise 4: Automatic Writing

Relax, settle into silence. Eyes closed, if you dare. Take several deep breaths. Let yourself fall inward, into the light. Listen.

Start writing what comes into your mind/your heart. Don’t worry about spelling or punctuation. Don’t worry if they aren’t complete sentences – they might be disjointed words. They might come through with different handwriting styles. I had one that came through in five different writing styles. Remember, you have a spiritual team with you now that are all connected with and within the One God.

When you feel as if you’ve finished writing down what is coming through to you, read the words to yourself. Fill in where needed, make corrections where applicable, then read it again. Does it relate to you at all, with something you are going through, or a question you have?

Did you feel you received some kind of answer? Did you think you received something but were doubting yourself and were afraid to write it down? Write it down anyway even if it doesn’t make sense. You are welcome to share, but that is optional. Often we all learn most when we share.

Also note how the messages came to you. Were they visual images in your mind? Like a voice? A flash in your mind? You just knew it? Were they one method or more than one?

Exercise 5: Partner-up

Pair up with a partner or friend who is open to this kind of Intuitive exploration. You may hold hands or merely sit across from each other.

Each of you think of a question.

Take turns: Decide who goes first. Ask the responding partner your question. Usually with eyes closed, the responding partner goes inside for answers. The amount of time it takes doesn’t matter; don’t rush it. When the partner feels they receive an answer of any kind, then ask if there is more. Ask again. Go deeper. More detail. Once you feel you have received what you are meant to receive, then share with the asking partner. The answer might be an ongoing sharing, becoming clearer as the responding partner describes in greater detail what they saw, heard, felt, sensed…

Reverse who asks and who responds, and repeat the steps.

How did the answers feel for you? Did they connect in any way? Did they open you up to potentials or directions you might not have considered? Or perhaps, verified what you already sensed?

Also note how the messages came to you. Were they visual images in your mind? Like a voice? A flash in your mind? You just knew it? Were they one method or more than one?

Exercise 6: Through the Looking Glass – finding out more about yourself

paraphrased from Mother Wit: A Feminist Guide To Psychic Development by Diane Mariechild

Relax. Deepen and protect yourself by asking for the Divine light of protection to surround you. Turn inward from the outer world. Close your eyes. Take several deep breaths, then breathe normally, feeling yourself falling into the light.

Picture yourself standing in front of a three-panel floor standing mirror.

See yourself walking into the middle panel. What do you see? Spend time there. Remember what you experience. Back out of the mirror and stand in front of all three again.

See yourself walking into the right mirror. panel What do you see? Spend time there. Remember what you experience. Back out of the mirror and stand in front of all three panels again.

See yourself walking  into the left mirror. What do you see? Spend time there. Remember what you experience. Back out of the mirror and stand in front of all three panels again.

Write down what you saw and experienced in each panel. Were they different? Did they have meaning for you? In what way do they connect? Did they give you three facets of yourself? Perhaps, a balanced perspective? Wisdom beyond what you knew about yourself?

I would love to hear what you saw and experienced. You are welcome to share them in the comment section.

Final thoughts: I hope you enjoyed this series! I know, without doubt that you can strenghten your Divine Communication skills. You can do this. Persist! And miracles will happen in your life.

Remember:

You are One with the Power of the Universe that is accessible to you, without fail, at all times, whether in the physical or out. You have nothing to fear, only to love and embrace with joy and enthusiasm. Divine communication is your key to the greatest life you can imagine, and even greater. Use it!

Divine Messages, Part 6: What blocks us from receiving Divine messages?

Potential communication blockages between you and the Divine:

Ignorance: You had experiences of communication but you didn’t recognize them as Divine interaction, or in some instances, you bought the lie from others that it doesn’t exist. You classify those blockages as ignorance.

Ego: Some barriers are created by ego, as in, “I don’t trust the inner voice because it isn’t real, or they are only my misguided thoughts.” Or, disbelief that there is a conduit, that there is only separation. But the inner you knows better. You know there is no separation or there wouldn’t be this connecting channel. But when categorizing the ego-obstructions you realize they are only a subcategory of the larger category of…

Fear: Fear of not being good enough. Fear of ridicule, which is a fear reaction. Fear of being harmed by a debased spirit. Fear of the unknown. And any other fear you can think of that bars you from opening to Divine communication.

Another that fits in with fear is busyness or the constant need for distraction. Fearing idleness, or stillness, you might be the type to clutter up every precious moment of your life with TV or radio, or doing, or going, filling your time with the less important instead of stilling yourself and merely listening.

Not asking for Divine help. In other words, ego. Or, you don’t feel the situation is important enough. Remember, the end of Part 5 said there is no too small or insignificant. What we might think of as insignificant might be an important foundation for something larger. Don’t compartmentalize your life, putting aside the part you feel is unimportant (or you hope to keep secret, which is impossible), and only offer the other part of your life you feel is worthy of God’s attention. That is limiting a limitless God. That is separation. We are to go to the Divine for everything.

Habitual negative lifestyle. A lifestyle issue to consider is staying in negative situations, whether television or companions, and most importantly, negative thinking. Negativity drags you down. blocks you from a positive attitude, and changes the vibration in and around you. A positive outlook and surroundings are desirable for the most open communication because you’ve made yourself available. Again, you aren’t to do this alone. Ask for Divine help.

Fear blockages aren’t permanent or total. Don’t misunderstand. No matter your stubbornness, the Great Communicator breaks through anyway, and often in surprising ways that get your attention. But if you want increasing, free-flowing communication—because that is the key to a richer, happier, more abundant life—then ask the Knows-All what you can do to strengthen that connection, then trust, and follow-through.

Which of the above are challenges for you? List them, then write what you might do to overcome the challenges. Your effort in discovering what is blocking you from receiving Divine messages is worth it. Once you become aware of what is holding you back, then you can release them. When you do that, then…

You are empowered! You now have continual access to the Greatest Power in the Universe!

Part 4: How We Receive the Messages.

Part 5: How to tell if the messages are real.

Divine Messages, Part 5: How to tell if the messages are real.

We all receive Divine messages. Yes, everyone. The messages are not meant for only a select few. We are all created from the same Source, God, our Creator, our Unlimited Supplier. We are all God’s messengers if we allow it. This powerful gift of Divine messages is freely given to us by God. It is how we are created. It is part of our Spiritual DNA. Our challenge is to recognize it and learn to trust it. BUT,

How do we know the messages are real and not only our imagination?? Or, even a misguided earth-bound spirit?

The answer:

The kind of messages you receive. Here’s how you tell the difference.

Are the messages from Ego, or from Spirit?

Ego:

  • Is the word “I” involved? When it’s your ego, the message is usually “I”. I’m not worthy. Who do I think I am? What makes me think I can do this? What if I make a fool of myself, or people think I’m crazy? What if I fail?
  • Are they fear-based messages? Then they are either ego or from a lost spirit you don’t want around you. Ego or ‘unhealthy’ spirit messages are fear-based, giving you all the reasons why it won’t work, or why the Spirit messages aren’t real and to ignore them. If earth-bound spirits are bothering you, turn them over to Jesus/God/Holy Spirit. I tell them to turn to the light.
  • Ego messages are possessive, containing, restraining, negative, and strive to pull you back into ego’s control by tempting you or intimidating you to remain in your illusory comfort zone with a false sense of safety. I say illusory comfort zone because you are not truly comfortable when you are less than what you can be if you but have faith.
  • One other warning, true messages will never encourage you to harm yourself or another. Spiritual messages are always love-based.

Spiritual

  • Do the messages include the word “You”? When the message is from the spiritual, for me it is always ‘you’. As in, “What do you want for your life?” “You can do this.” “I’ll be with you.” “Why are you wasting your time when there is so much more available to you?” “You have a higher mission in life.” And one of my favorites, “I love you.”
  • Divine messages are uplifting, encouraging you to grow and develop into ever more greatness. Spirit messages encourage you to expand beyond your boundaries, to achieve your full potential.
  • Are the messages unexpected? Unless you’ve opened up a God/Jesus dialogue, the real messages take you by surprise and are fast, unexpected and usually the opposite of what your rational mind thinks is right. Sometimes they come through so quickly you’ll doubt you even received it.
  • Are the messages love-based? Spirit messages are from love, not fear. They might be cautionary messages, but they are constructive, helpful, encouraging, willing you to reach higher, farther, to pull you out of your illusory comfort zone to greater experiences, enticing you to step out in faith.
  • No topic for Divine communication is too small or insignificant. I used to think that only major situations or concerns were worthy of bothering my Source, (that’s ego talking). Spirit messages are adamant that there is no ‘too small’, that all is connected, that all is part of the “All There Is”, and that what you consider as the small issues are the foundations for the larger ones and equally as important.

You are encouraged to go to Divine guidance for everything. Remember, spiritual communication is meant for you to use for a fuller, richer life—and most important—you are never abandoned or have to go it alone (that is the lie of separation).

Jesus seeks partners who allow him to work through them to share God’s message that we are all love and loved. All you have to do is say “Use me”. Don’t be afraid of being asked to stand on a street corner and proselytize. You still have free will. Even better, Jesus works through your passions, your skills, what gives you joy, those God-seeds planted within your heart. There is nothing to fear, only to embrace!

Part 4: How We Receive the Messages.

Divine Messages, Part 4: How we receive the messages

We receive Divine messages in infinite ways from the Infinite. I’ve received them since I was a child. However, when younger I was afraid of them and never told anyone. I now know that everyone has the potential to tap into that continual Divine communication, but many people don’t realize it exists, or they rationalize it away, or are afraid of it, but Divine communication is meant for everyone to access —it is a powerful gift to us from the “One” with whom we are all connected. Divine communication is not to fear, but to embrace. What is there to fear from the One that is only love, joy and goodness?

There are four basic categories for Divine messages, and I’ve added a fifth:

1. Clairaudience (Clear Hearing):  Sounds, voices and words. Examples:

  • An unexpected inner or outer voice that helps you make a decision.
  • You happen to hear a snippet of a conversation, and the words are exactly what you need to hear.
  • A song that seems to convey a message or confirmation to you.
  • A loud voice booms out of nowhere, warning you of impending danger. Or, sometimes, a soft whisper…

2. Clairsentience (Clear Sensing).  Feelings, Hunches, Emotions, Physical Sensations, Smells.  Examples:

  • A hunch or gut feeling to do something – an action, or warning.
  • A sudden emotion that is unrelated to your present surroundings, and later proves to be prophetic.
  • Feelings of inner peace that everything is going to be okay, or that you are on the right path.
  • Feeling a tingle or brush against your skin or nape of the neck.
  • Smells that have symbolic meaning for you, like perfume or cigar.

Claircognizance (Clear Knowing). Thoughts, Ideas, Sparks of Inspiration, and Inner Certainty – like “Knowing”.  Examples:

  • An ‘aha!’ or flash of a brilliant idea, or solution to your problem.
  • Clear insight not related to logical thinking.
  • Sudden intuition about a situation.
  • You just ‘know’ something will happen, but don’t know details.

4. Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing). Visions, Images, Mental Pictures, Dreams. Examples:

  • The images might be like a mental movie, or a snapshot of pictures inside or outside of your mind. They might be black and white, or color. Mine are always in extra vivid colors.
  • The mental pictures can be literal or symbolic (animals, colors, etc.). You can look up the symbolism on the Internet.
  • Seeing colors or auras. Angel lights in various forms and colors. Corner-of-the-eye visions.
  • Seeing actual images, like a deceased loved one (Part 1, The Ghost), or a cross on the ceiling (Part 2, The Cross).

5. Divine Intervention (God’s Will). Unexpected Life Changes. Examples:

  • A sudden shift beyond your understanding that seems almost like a thread is being woven into a vast Universal Life Tapestry.
  • An unexpected life changing event that turns out to be more wonderful than anything you would have ever imagined for yourself.

Sometimes there is a back-and-forth dialogue between Jesus and me where I ask, then argue, then listen, then admit the message doesn’t make sense to me, then continue asking and listening until I comprehend. Asking and questioning are vital components of the discussion. That means you are bringing up what you don’t yet understand so that the Divine continues clarifying until you get it.

Sometimes the messages are absolutely clear the instant I receive them. Sometimes the meaning comes to me while I’m writing the messages down, which I encourage you to do – keep a journal. Sometimes I receive them during quiet times, and sometimes in the middle of a busy, noisy day. Some come as answers to questions. Some are unexpected and take me by surprise.

Once you start opening up to that communication, you’ll discover there is much symbolism in meditations, dreams and visions such as in animals, flowers and colors. Look up the symbolic descriptions and determine what feels right to you.

You might receive messages from one category, or all of them. It doesn’t matter. You can develop strength in all if you choose. What matters is that you become aware of the messages and learn to trust them.

Divine Messages, Part 3: Source of the Messages

True Story from “Divine Messages from Jesus for a magnificent life” by Carolyne Cathey

__________________

As you’ve read in Part 1 and Part 2, Jesus, my spiritual mentor, called me to serve as a conduit through whom he may share eternal truths with you and the world.

Your source for Divine messages will be unique to you; there are many Ascended Masters, angels, spiritual mentors and guides that, with your permission, will guide you into a co-creation of the wonder that is your life.

Divine messages aren’t about being Christian or any particular religion, or any religion at all. They are about eternal truths that are always true, now and forever, Truths that can enrich and transform you and your life. Jesus assures me the eternal truth is the eternal truth no matter the source though which it comes. These are God-truths beyond any man-defined barriers and too-small boxes into which we laughably believe we can cram the Divine.

When you read the Divine messages I’ve received and compiled into the book, Divine Messages from Jesus for a magnificent life, you’ll learn that some of what we’ve been taught about Jesus isn’t necessarily the truth and that his teachings are often misrepresented. As he explains in the Chapter Don’t Throw Away the Gift Because You Don’t Like the Wrapping (p. 31), he is not the exception but the example, because, he said if what he taught and embodied was for only one person (him), then what was the point? The real point, he says, is that what he experienced we can all experience. We’ll discuss more in future posts about how this works.

Jesus assures me he wants partners through whom he may share the Creator’s love and therefore change lives, and the world, for the better—which is what he called me to do in service to humanity. Saying ‘yes’ and allowing the messages to flow through me has blessed my life with wonders I never dreamed possible. After answering the call, I am filled, not as before with fear, doubt and guilt, but to overflowing with joy, peace and love.

A magnificent result can be yours, too, if you further open to the Divine and allow abundance and love to guide you.

All you have say is, “Use me.”

There is nothing to fear. He won’t have you standing on a street corner proselytizing unless that is what you choose to do. You still have free will. If you but have faith, he will work through your skills and passions, the God-sowed seeds within you that give you joy. A much greater joy that you can imagine.

Divine Messages, Part 2: Second “Calling” – The Cross

True Story from “Divine Messages from Jesus for a magnificent life” by Carolyne Cathey

_______________

Years later I was living with my daughter to help take care of the grandchildren.

I awoke one morning with the hymn “Trust and Obey” going through my head. I knew I was awake because even though my eyes remained closed, the music continued to thread through my mind as the children visited during breakfast, making plans for their day at work or school. Wondering about the music only I could hear, I opened my eyes, and stilled, astonished by what I saw above me.

A large cross shimmered on the ceiling! Approximately four feet long and three feet wide. The vision looked like a glowing, rippling water-reflection about four inches deep and with clearly defined edges. I blinked several times thinking the image would surely disappear, but every time I opened my eyes again, the watery, light-filled cross remained. I stared at it for several moments with the ‘Trust & Obey’ music still going through my mind and with the children still talking in the other room.

I wondered if there was sunlight reflecting off water outside of my bedroom window that would shine that particular shape on the ceiling. With the cross still gleaming above me, I rose and looked out of the window. There was no water anywhere, just grass and dirt. There was nothing that would reflect anything, much less a cross.

When I looked up at the ceiling again, the cross had disappeared. But I’ve never forgotten and I’m still in awe.

I sensed that Jesus was saying:

“It’s time. It’s time to focus on your deeper spiritual growth and to experience life beyond anything you’ve ever dared dream.”

I sensed a definite purpose for my life that only Jesus knew, but what an attention grabber with that cross on the ceiling!

Glancing out of the window again, and still in wonderment about what I had seen and heard, I noticed that the hip of the next-door roof angled upward before it ended, something I had never noticed before.

The message came to me to look at things from a different angle, that Divine messages come through in myriad ways via unexpected methods, even ones I had been taught in the Bible Belt that were occult, like meditation and tarot.

After the vision of the cross, there began a rapid adventure of exciting messages and awakenings and happenings that still amaze me.
